Sir, - Because our State uniquely regards a place of residence within the EU as a satisfactory ground to disqualify its citizens from national elections, my Seanad vote has a certain sentimental value. My voting papers for the Seanad Election (Dublin University constituency) arrived here last Monday, so that they didn't have a ghost of a chance of arriving back in time. There was no postmark on the envelope, which leaves me wondering when they were sent out. If it was less than two weeks ago, I suggest that is not long enough. - Yours, etc.,
