Sir, - The letter entitled "Sex in Ireland" (April 2nd) was quite a revelation, a valuable insight into the approach of some documentary film makers. A Ms White tells us she is researching a film for Channel 4 on attitudes to sex in Ireland, yet one wonders why she is bothering as the rest of her letter suggests she already make up her mind on the issue and intends to make a film to match her hypotheses.
What is even more interesting is the way she openly parades her prejudging. And guess what angle this film is going to take? By way of a clue here are some quotes from her letter: "Catholic Church . . . great influence . . . a taboo subject . . . treated harshly by the Church. . . conflict with those in authority. . ." - Yours, etc.,
