Madam, – I have lately attended both the private and public sections of hospitals in the Dublin area.
I was satisfied that the best possible service was provided under the circumstances, which were far from ideal. I would however suggest that the practice of some consultants shaking hands with each patient on their rounds is not hygienic. “Aw jakers howya . . .?” would do. – Yours, etc,
