Sir, – Sinn Féin is to be applauded for raising so much funding in America (Front Page, March 5th). If people are foolish enough to part with their cash over some misty-eyed version of the old country, then, begorrah, why not take them for a ride? – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Sinn Féin’s excessive fundraising outside Ireland should finally put a nail in the coffin of the argument for allowing expats to vote in Irish elections. – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Thank you for your five pages of in-depth analysis of Sinn Fein’s fundraising in the US over the past 20 years.
Your report clearly reveals that the party’s fundraising is well organised and overseen by persons of the highest integrity and standing in the Irish-American community. Also that the party adheres to the very highest standards of probity and transparency as well as fully complying with US and Irish law; attributes which are important for a party which may potentially form a part in the next government of the State. It is much appreciated.
I look forward to reading similarly in-depth investigative reporting into the fundraising activities of the other major political parties. I hope that those parties also stand up to the same level of scrutiny. – Yours, etc,
DAVID ENRIGHT,
