Madam, - A recent visit to New Zealand provided me with many interesting ways of doing things that might be copied in Ireland. Among these was the provision of children's play areas in towns and villages of all sizes, and in particular skateboard rinks, which I could see were very popular and in continual use.
Could our local authorities in Ireland allocate a little of their money to the provision of such rinks?
For a little investment, all of us would reap the benefits of giving an outlet to the energies and creativity of our young people. - Yours, etc.,
