Sir, – Brian Patterson (June 8th) has only scratched the surface. I recall asking for the news to be put on at 6pm in a Dublin pub and on went Sky News. I asked whether we could watch RTÉ news and was told – brusquely – that they only watched Sky. This pub was within five minutes’ walk of the GPO.
