Madam, - I was reassured when I heard the Taoiseach saying in a radio interview that when he raised the question of human rights abuses with certain foreign governments, he did not do so in "a nasty way". It is a relief to know he is careful to avoid hurting the feelings of these sensitive people. I have no doubt that, like numerous people in this country, despots in many parts of the world think of him as a very nice man. - Yours, etc,
