Sir, - Jennifer Desmond (May 5th) castigates the world's first space tourist, Denis Tito, for spending $20 million on his once-in-a-lifetime experience. I don't agree that it was "absolutely unconscionable". Mr Tito, like us all, has every right to spend his money as he wishes. And is Ms Desmond so sure that Mr Tito has never given generously to charity?
