Sir, – Having listened to poorly delivered speeches by politicians of all persuasions in the Dáil chamber, and often with an obvious lack of understanding of the issue at hand, could I suggest that when the Dáil reconvenes in September that the politicians remain in their constituencies and attend to the local issues that they are so fond of and those who have written their speeches deliver them in their place?
We might then generate some enthusiasm and a proper debate, and perhaps a better understanding of the real issues facing us. – Yours, etc,
