Madam, – The greatly improved car-parking facility at Croagh Patrick was warmly welcomed during our recent post-retirement ascent of the Holy Mountain.
After our footsore and limb-weary return to sea level we made a much-needed visit to the car park WC. If St Patrick were to re-visit his Holy Mountain these days and were to witness the appalling sanitary conditions of the WC, I fear that he might never return from his meeting with the Almighty! My prayers now are that the car park charges will be directed towards daily servicing of the Croagh Patrick WC facilities. – Yours, etc,
