Madam, - The reference to the Cliffs of Moher sponsorship scheme (Weekend Review, Nov 11th) contains a number of serious inaccuracies.
There are no plans for the "prominent display" of sponsors' names or proposals for sponsoring "the landmark O'Brien's Tower on the cliff edge".
The sponsorship scheme is designed to offer those who may wish to do so an opportunity to be associated with a unique development at a very special site.
Any sponsorship will be acknowledged and promoted in a manner which does not in any way undermine the outstanding natural qualities and iconic status of the attraction. - Yours, etc,
