Sir, - Your correspondent Seosamh O Broin (September 12th) was rightly critical of the condition of Thomas Street and the area in front of St. Catherine's Church. He will be pleased to note, therefore, that plans for using the church as a place of public worship are at an advanced stage.
Further, at a Dublin Corporation meeting held earlier this month, an environmental improvement scheme - phase one for Thomas Street - was discussed by city councillors. Subject to some refinement, it is hoped this plan will be implemented shortly. - Yours, etc., Cllr. Dermot Lacey,
