Sir, - I was sorely disappointed in your feature on the Clarence Hotel, Dublin ("Starry, starry nights", August 28th). I found the piece to be no more than unpaid advertising for the hotel, with little or no journalistic merit. The feature lacked any critical content and was merely an example of starry-eyed wonderment at the Clarence's celebrity associations. I expected more from an Irish Times feature, even one in your "silly season" Summer Times section. - Yours etc,
