Sir, - I fully concur with Ed Broderick (June 2nd) that both the Revenue Commissioners and the VHI should recognise not only the need for counselling, but also its cost effectiveness.
Victims of abuse pay a price over a lifetime for the psychological damage caused by their perpetrators. Since States of Fear men and women are seeking help to try to put their lives in order. It pains me that such people have to pay yet another price (which very often they can ill afford) for the "sins of the fathers". - Yours, etc.,
