Madam, - Who on earth decided we needed those tiny, adhesive stickers on nearly all shop-sold fruit? Now, I see, in an act of complete madness some poor misguided fool is sticking them on Irish grown peppers. If they are so essential for identification or marketing purposes then I wonder why they are not present on carrots, parsnips and potatoes - maybe they soon will be if my "Take Off the Feckin Fruit Stickers" (TOFFS) campaign fails. Readers may email me at toffs@lwa.ie to register their support.- Yours, etc,
ANDREW LONGWILL, Newhall, Naas, Co Kildare.
