Sir, – I refer to the letter penned by Padraic Neary (December 27th), in which he seems to say that extraordinary technological advance may have changed the face of economics to a degree that age-old concepts of recession, debt, austerity, etc, are no longer adequate, and then goes on to outline a new revisionist theory of success.
Fortunately there are some of us still left who disagree with this “new idea” from Mr Neary and put it all down to pure and simple greed. – Yours, etc,
