Madam, – Living in another country can be a very rewarding experience, opening one’s eyes to what we do well in Ireland and to what we do not do well. I notice that the vast majority of those now emigrating from Ireland are heading to other parts of the English-speaking world (“Emigration levels similar to the 1980s” Home News, December 27th).
Given that our economic crisis stems largely from our blind following of the Anglo-Saxon economic model, I wonder will we really learn the lessons of the past and look to other European models in the future? – Yours, etc,
