Sir, - Can someone in the motor assembly business please explain why the levers or switches for the indicators/lights and the wipers have swopped sides on the steering column? When the indicators/lights were on the right-hand side, it was possible to change gear, steer and keep the lever operating at the same time. With the changeover, there are a few crucial seconds when it is impossible to keep the indicator on while changing gear.Also, is there someone out there who could design an extension to the sun shield - perhaps a piece of tinted, Polaroid plastic that could be turned down lower than the sun shield when the sun is low on the horizon? - Yours, etc.,Ruth Gill,Kilcormac,Birr,Co Offaly.
