Sir, – I was interested to read your article on an internal report on Tallaght Hospital which stated that board members at Tallaght are frustrated with the difficulty of portraying the hospital in a positive light.
The internal report apparently lists things which could be done better, including “a greater emphasis on strategy and the management of external communications, increased participation of some members at board meetings and the circulation of board papers in a more timely manner”.
Am I old-fashioned in thinking that the best way to portray a hospital in a positive light is to engage in top-quality patient care? – Yours, etc,
