Sir, - In her article (January 22nd) Ms Mary Harney rightly describes the tax amnesty as "one of the greatest ever insults to the ordinary people of Ireland".
Bearing in mind that this pernicious legislation was instigated by Fianna Fail and enacted by a Government led by Fianna Fail, is it possible that Ms Harney would, consequently, refuse to enter into coalition with Fianna Fail? Or is it more likely that when the time comes she will, like Mr Spring before her, pocket her principles and descend from the moral high ground? - Yours, etc.
