Sir, - as a victim of the protest by the Irish Taxi Drivers Federtion in Dublin city centre, I, for one have had engough.

This protest was a grossly unfair attack on the passive, powerless, city motorist who has been exploited once again for the benefit of a small interest group. Most people who shared the experience of hours of traffic chaos extending for miles outwards of the city centre will have felt angry, frustrated, disbelieving, that a couple of hundred taxi drivers could wield this power. However, we can respond with an equal show of strength.

Let's mobilise in the only way we can - by resolving to withdraw our custom from this Federation of Taxi Drivers who have proven that they have no loyalty, concern or consideration for the ordinary citizen. - Yours, etc., Oonagh Fitzpatrick,
