Sir, - It was with some interest that I read the brief article on the Buckley Pay Review for TDs and others of the "ruling classes" (The Irish Times, December 4th). It appears that this review will quietly award large increases to these people on top of the terms of the PPF. The only "benchmarking" involved appears to be the often remarkably empty benches in the Dail chamber. All this with little media comment! - Yours, etc.,
