A chara, - Thanks to Paul Lanigan (November 8th) for helping to make my blood boil on a cold wintry evening. His allegation that "teachers are accountable to no one" stunned me. As a practising primary teacher, I am accountable daily to the following:
1. Twenty-eight girls and boys aged between four and five;
2. The children's parents;
3. My principal and fellow teachers;

6. The Minister for Education and Science.
