Sir, - Louis O'Flaherty (May 9th) seems to think there could be something undesirable about the idea of secondary school teachers coming from the Philippines to teach in Irish schools.
As a parent I would welcome more teachers coming from abroad to teach here. It would add to the diversity of the educational experience of Irish pupils. - Yours, etc.,
