Sir, - I refer to the report, "Further work due to ease problems at Cork court's temporary home", by Barry Roche (Southern Report, September 14th).
While Mr Roche rightly pointed out, the health and safety concerns of the judges, solicitors and barristers of the Circuit Court, he failed to mention the administrative staff (in particular those represented by this union) who, since late last May, have been more than flexible and obliging while experiencing their own significant accommodation problems.
While I fully acknowledge that the facilities provided for the legal corps were found to be inadequate, one only has to enter the first-floor office to appreciate that facilities here are also very far from satisfactory and in need of urgent attention. - Yours, etc.,
Hugh O'Reilly, Branch Secretary, CPSU, Courthouse, Camden Quay, Cork.
