Madam, – In an article on Brian Friel’s 80th birthday celebrations at The Abbey Theatre (Home News, September 14th), it was stated that the original cast of Dancing at Lughnasa appeared, naming Rosaleen Linehan as an original member of that production. This is not correct.
Frances Tomelty played the part in the first production. Frances Tomelty is an outstanding actress whom I worked with on films such as Lamb and The Field and deserves her proper inclusion. – Yours, etc.
