Madam, - Breda O'Brien rightly highlights RTÉ's obsession with dramatically headlining any allegation made against a priest or religious, in contrast to the minimal, and indeed, the non-prioritising of announcements when similar allegations are made against a "non-religious" person (Opinion, Febuary 11th).

One may ask: why is this distinction made? It is unworthy of a national television and radio service to descend to this tabloid form of unbalanced and emotive style of reportage, at the expense of due sensitivity to persons who, according to the laws of our cherished Constitution, are still innocent until proven guilty. - Yours, etc,
