Madam, - Further to Kevin Myers's excellent Irishman's Diary of September 13th, I can confirm that our cricket club had both the minor and senior All-Ireland Hurling Finals showing on our TV throughout last Sunday afternoon. I can also confirm that I availed of several "toilet breaks" to nip off the pitch and keep up with the action.
