Sir, Dublin Horse Show is the mecca of all that pertains to horses, the greatest complete, show. The event that people from all over the world come to visit, to see the best show jumping to watch all the young horse classes, ponies of all sizes, Connemaras, Irish Draughts, from foals to stallions this is where horses are bought and sold.
It is the greatest disaster to have taken out all the performance classes which are well supported, and out of these classes come very good eventers, show jumpers etc. Also, we have lost this year all our thoroughbred classes yearlings, three year olds, two year olds etc. Why stop these classes?
We want these back. And stop the clear round jumping which relatively is not supported by any of the horse buyers, and late in the evening most people want to get home. Whoever is responsible in the RDS, please think again and give us back our classes. Yours etc., Barfordstown Stud, Kells, Co. Meath.
