Madam, - I have brought a very ill child to Crumlin for chemotherapy. During treatment his immune system was so weak that visitors and relatives were forbidden to visit our home. Private transport was used.
I have also brought a different healthy excited child to Croke Park for a football final. He could manage a long walk, could mingle with the crowds and enjoyed the adventure. Please inform Frank McManus FRCSI. (letters, December 11th) that the two journeys could no be compared. - Yours, etc,
