The last word

Sir, – Diarmaid Ó Muirithe should have been in Clones on Sunday to see his Words We Use (July 22nd) in action! How the Monaghan boys “bruchled up” (wrapped up or muffled untidily) Donegal, how the Donegal defence was indeed in a “bruckle” state (brittle, fragile, uncertain), and how Donegal just “bruckled away” (crumbled) in the face of the relentless Monaghan onslaught. Well done, “the Wee Hills”! – Yours, etc,

JOHN QUINN,

Stradbally North,

Clarinbridge, Co Galway.
