Sir, - Now that the unionists and John Major are being asked to make concessions, viz., no decommissioning of weapons before talks and an amnesty for those who hand in arms, it would seem - only fair and reasonable that SF and the SDLP should make a corresponding concession and drop their opposition to an elected assembly. Nobody can expect to have everything all their own way. If everybody takes this attitude there will be no final settlement. - Yours, etc.,
