Sir, - Regarding the Final of the woman's gymnastics, in Atlanta, never before have I witnessed such a jingostic, partisan and ill mannered crowd of people as the American supporters. They showed absolutely no respect or consideration towards the other competitors, in a sport which I'm sure requires a much higher degree of concentration than tennis, snooker or golf where silence during play is the norm.
As for the brave determination of Kerri Strug, they are most likely making that into a TV movie already. - Yours etc.,
