JOHN QUINN,
A chara, - I am disappointed by Cllr Fiona O'Malley's response (January 31st) to a number of reasonable points put by Gearóid O'Keeffe (January 29th).
I voted for Cllr O'Malley in the last local elections for a number of reasons, including respect for her father.
I did believe from her election leaflets that she was a resident of Mount Merrion and that the address, Ardilea Downs, was a home address and not an election headquarters.
This view was reinforced when the chairman and secretary of the Mount Merrion Residents Association canvassed the area on her behalf. It was stated to me that it was important to support a local resident.
So, Cllr O'Malley now admits that this address was an election HQ. A disappointing revelation; I would have expected better. - Is mise,
JOHN QUINN, Callary Road, Mount Merrion, Co Dublin.
