Sir, - Could someone please explain the meaning of the most recent Guinness advertising slogan, "Live life to the power of Guinness"?
I recently observed some individuals consuming pints of this brew and as the consumption levels rose the following effects were clearly on display. After a few pints, their power of speech was reduced somewhat. On completion of a further one or two, their behaviour became unreasonable. These effects gained in severity until they had consumed a substantial amount. At this stage they lost use of their limbs and became what is commonly referred to as "legless". These observations indicate that the slogan is inaccurate and misleading and should perhaps read: "More Guinness, less power, less life". - Yours, etc., Brian Mc Geogh,
