Sir, - Reference has been made over and over again to the fact that Dana and Professor McAleese are practising Roman Catholics. What's so strange about that? After all, the majority in the Republic and a high proportion in the North are practising Roman Catholics.
If this is such an important piece of information, why are we not told the religious affiliations (if any) of Ms Roche and Ms Banotti? Am I the only one in Ireland dying to know? -Yours, etc.,
