Sir, - Dana best represents the 62 per cent of people who want a new referendum on abortion. She also represents an electorate which does not want to see the Irish Constitution radically altered. None of the political parties is willing to offer a new clear-cut referendum to ban abortion and all of the political parties are represented on the all-party committee which recently published its review of the Constitution. This review proposes, largely, to de-Christianise the Constitution, and allow legislation for abortion.
