Sir, - Congratulations to Nuala O'Faolain (October 20th) for her well observed column. I wish to pose the following question in my capacity as a founder member of the Women's Political Association and former programme facilitator to the Parnell Summer School.
If we had all chosen to stay within our bunkers and not push barriers and initiate dialogue on a broad basis wherever and whenever possible, where would we be now?
Maybe we should ponder the example of John Hume and of our former President, Mary Robinson, among others. - Yours, etc.,
