Sir, – A letter from Irish Water arrived in this week’s post, informing us that “we have been advised by the owner of this property that you are the tenant residing at this supply address”. Since my wife and I are co-owners who live at the address in question, and Irish Water has made no attempt that we know of to contact us regarding a possible tenancy (there being no tenancy to talk to them about), this statement is clearly false.
If the company is not prepared to at least be honest in its dealings with its customers, then how and why does it expect to be treated with any probity itself? – Yours, etc,
