Sir, – May I, for the sake of accuracy, point out that Ivor Shorts, unfortunately, is not the first left-handed golfer to have won the Captain’s Prize at Edmondstown Golf Club since Joe Taylor won it back in 1944, the inaugural year of the club (Total Golf, The Short Game, September 11th).
