Sir, – What a delightful article by Paddy Logue on his faithful hound Tadgh ("Tadgh is far from perfect but there is no hairier love", Life, April 22nd). I have always found that a family dog makes for a calmer house and teaches children to be active and responsible.
As for Tadgh’s habit of chewing dinosaur figurines, anyone who has ever stood on one of those toys with their bare feet can only applaud his initiative. – Yours, etc,
