Madam, - Have the two parts of Ireland really drifted so far apart that your reporter, your sub-editors, your night editor, and perhaps, Madam, you yourself, are all unaware that the "world-famous Freeman Hospital" is in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, not Newcastle, Co Down? ("World Cup puts Transplants at Risk", Irish Times, June 22nd).
The story's reference to a flight from Derry to Newcastle might have offered a clue - Newcastle (Co Down) has no airport. Nor does it have a hospital. - Yours, etc,
DENNIS KENNEDY, Belfast BT7.
