Madam, - Having recently decided to write an MA thesis on Maeve Brennan, I was delighted to read David Marcus's piece on this neglected author (An Irishman's Diary, July 22nd). Apart from Angela Bourke's excellent biography, Brennan seems to have received very little critical attention.
