Sir, – 95. I love looking out the window of the train as it passes over the Liffey each morning. Looking east to the mouth of the river when it’s blue and glistening in the sun, or silver with dark clouds above – but always beautiful.

A few years ago I thought it was going to be spoilt by a monstrous sculpture, 48 meters high, so each morning I feast my eyes on the timeless treasure that is the Liffey. – Yours, etc,
