Sir, – The authors of the original 1916 Proclamation saw fit to invoke the name of God twice, once at the beginning and once at the end of the document. Of the six people whom you invited to contribute new proclamations (Weekend Review, April 4th) one mentioned God (in the middle of their document) and the other wanted to remove God entirely. One has to wonder what God makes of all this. – Yours, etc,
