Madam, – Vincent Browne (Opinion, May 26th) is unhappy that Justice Adrian Hardiman gave a judgment “replete with lengthy extracts . . . in one instance a lengthy passage repeated verbatim”.
Fair enough, but that is exactly how Mr Browne has started his article. It is at least the second time recently he has padded his word count with “verbatim” quotation. Whatever the point being highlighted, lazy for a judge must surely be lazy for a journalist? – Yours, etc,
