Toilet trauma

Madam, - I am in my 88th year

Madam, - I am in my 88th year. I grew up in west Waterford with my parents and seven siblings in a house with no running water and no lavatory. At night we used buckets which were emptied the next morning. My local school in Glencairn had two dry toilets, used by 52 pupils. The house I was born in did not get a flush toilet until the mid-1960s.

In the light of recent events I now discover that I may be suffering psychological and emotional damage as a result of this deprivation. Whom might I sue? - Yours, etc.,
