A chara, - Sean Mac Mathuna of Conradh na Gaeilge (July 11th) complained of the lack of Irish along the route of the Tour de France in Ireland.

Sean, a chara, mon ami, perhaps you should have visited the South Dublin County Council area before you made such a sweeping and inaccurate statement. The council erected new bilingual place names at Brittas, Tallaght and Templeogue which welcomed Le Tour in Irish, French and English.

The "Failte" sign was visible in many businesses in the area also.
