Sir, - Apropos your report on legal fees for the Beef Tribunal (July 31st): "The costs include a payment of £923,170 to the Attorney General, Mr Dermot Gleeson, who acted for Mr Goodman before his Government appointment."
So finally, it has been admitted Mr Goodman has been on the inside track all along. Mr Goodman is on top of the heap, and no doubt smelling of roses. Or am I just blinkered and suffering from BTC (Beef Tribunal Costs), ADS (Angel Dust Syndrome) and BSE? After all, it is only taxpayers' money and the "hind tit" philosophy once more rears its ugly head. - Yours, etc.,
Kilmallock, Co Limerick.
