Sir, – David Trimble insists that the Belfast Agreement specifies that "it would be wrong to make any change in the status of Northern Ireland save with the consent of a majority of its people" ("Tear up the Northern Ireland protocol to save the Belfast Agreement", Opinion & Analysis, February 20th). So why did Mr Trimble support Brexit in the first place? – Yours, etc,
